I went with 10r I have read in many places that the swap from the 20" to the If you go to the wider rim. I think you should make certain you have at least 1" between the rear tires. So you can use the old spin and balance method on a front hub, or an old bubble balancer if you can come up with the adapter to use one. Thanks for the response.
Im having trouble finding the Dayton wheel in a 7. Call or look online at truck salvage. You have to specify 7. Mine came from kansas city - about an hour from me. I've heard them called ,open faced,Dayton, tubeless demountable ,donut ,etc, etc,I have the old 9x20 split ring and I would like to convert to the "tubeless" no one in the Austin Tx area will touch the split rings. I can still get the 9x20 tires and do it myself but I'm concerned about having a tire issue out on the road and not being able to get a tire or find someone who will fix them.
I already had to limp home on a leaking tire about 40 miles took forever. Ill keep looking for some used 7. The 8. They have to be low profile or the fronts will rub.

They're an 11r width at a 10r diameter, so they'll work with 8.
A 10r should be on a 7. Accuride still makes 7. Talk to a big rig tire shop and they should be able to set you up. Good news, several of the local truck tire places have assured me the 10r will do just fine on the 8.
