Gray News - LL Flooring, formerly known as Lumber Liquidators, has started Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and is closing 94 stores, the company announced Sunday. The Richmond, Virginia-based flooring company is also seeking to be sold. LL Flooring said it expects to continue business as normal during the transition. It has more than stores that will remain in business nationwide, along with its online platform.
The company said in a note to customers that it will not be accepting gift cards after Sept. After a pandemic-related boom, home improvement companies are facing economic headwinds as customers rein in spending.
