At least between 8. All jokes aside, the weather has been good, just bloody cold. Clear skies equals sub zero temperatures over here it seems. I had always expected that I would learn about many things on this extended trip, but never did I think I would have learnt so much after only two days since leaving Sydney.
My most valuable lesson to date has been that "stillnox" sleeping tablets are dangerous. After filling out my breakfast menu nb: you get such things up in business class Frank - you should try it some time I thought, as a non-experienced sleeping pill popper, it was safest to take two of the tablets to ensure the desired effect. I am not joking - not a single memory from the preceding 13 hours. What is most worrying is I have absolutely no recollection of having eaten breakfast , having a shave, landing and going through immigration.
Complete black out. I could have watched Pride and Prejudice or joined the mile high club with Elizabeth Hurley for all I know two very different experiences I suspect. Our hosts are distant cousins to Philippa but they may as well have been surrogate parents. They have been nothing short of wonderful. They flew out this morning for five days at their other home in France, but not before leaving us a sheperds pie almost as big as those pidgeons I was telling you about.
Unbelievably generous. To top it off they have invited us to spend a week at their place during our Spain trip. Their house is in a village next to Limoux, which is about 45 mins south east of the french city of Toulouse.
