Abigail "Abby" Clark is a former main character on who worked as a dispatcher in the Los Angeles area. She debuted in the first episode of the first season of and was portrayed by Connie Britton. Abby was born to Patricia Clark and her husband at some point in She has a brother, Matthew.
As a teenager, Abby made the Olympic team. Before the start of the show, Abby was engaged to former member Tommy Kinard until he broke it off. According to her former co-worker Josh Russo , Abby was very private about her personal life at work.
During a home invasion, Abby met Buck. They worked together to save a little girl and after, he called her a hero. They searched the area together and eventually Abby got a call that her mom has been taken to the hospital by some men who found her.
Abby initially understood, but overtime expressed her frustration to Carla wanting to take their relationship further and have sex. Previously, her brother tried to convince her to move Patricia to a memory-care facility, but she refused. Soon after, Patricia passed away in her sleep. Abby soon started to realize she lost herself in her caregiver role. While talking to Carla about her mother, she got the idea to go to Ireland, which was Patricia's dream.
While talking to Buck about making things more serious and possibly solidifying him moving him, they are interrupted by a woman who claimed Buck had been leading her one. Abby accused him of still being a philanderer, but soon Buck learned somebody had been catfishing women across LA using his name and face. Abby forgave him, but only after she impulsively decided to leave and go to Dublin, Ireland.
