Seven women are facing prostitution charges in connection with massage parlors in the Triad, Gastonia, Union County, Charlotte and South Carolina, authorities say. Department of Homeland Security have investigated complaints about massage parlors operating in Winston-Salem residential neighborhoods, the task force said. On Sept. Chongmei Wei, 59, has outstanding arrest warrants for promoting prostitution and continuing a criminal enterprise, the task force said.
Haiyan Chen, 52, of Mill Street in Winston-Salem, was charged with felony promoting prostitution, according to an arrest warrant.
Chen is accused of managing a massage parlor on Mill Street where money was exchanged for sexual services on May 1, the warrant said.
Chen was scheduled to appear Thursday in Forsyth District Court. Huang was charged with promoting prostitution for profits and continuing a criminal enterprise, another arrest warrant shows. Huang also is accused of engaging in a criminal enterprise by working with five or more people and being a supervisory organizer in which Huang obtained income and resources, the warrant said. Liu is scheduled to appear Friday in Forsyth District Court. Liling Liang, 59, of Lancaster, S. Quilan Shen, 57, of Greensboro, was charged with felony promoting prostitution by the Greensboro Police Department, the task force said.
