The applicant must submit a Certification of Attendance DMV form when applying for an instruction permit. The course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction. Some private schools also offer a course consisting of 15 hours of classroom instruction and five hours of behind-the-wheel training. The DMV licenses and monitors schools but does not regulate schedules or pricing.
All professional schools issue a Certificate of Completion which must be presented to the DMV when you apply for your full license. High schools may or may not issue a Certificate of Completion. A report card or official transcript is also acceptable.
The driver education course or experience is not a requirement to obtain an instruction permit. It is a requirement for a driver license. You must present proof of your identity and Nevada residential address unless you already hold a Nevada ID Card.
