The Church Point police department would like to make a statement in reference to the arrest of a former Church Point police officer. On January 14, we received a resignation via text stating that this officer was giving his resignation due to personal reasons, where he was given his release. On January 29th, this former officer was arrested by the Acadia parish sheriff department and at this time is when the Church Point police department was informed of situation.
The Acadian Parish Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into a complaint, and determined a juvenile victim was being molested. They obtained a warrant for Grundstrom, who was arrested without incident on Wednesday in Church Point. We'll update the story as soon as we hear back from them. Actions Facebook Tweet Email.
