I am writing in regards to the prostitution sting story that recently appeared in your fine publication. Let me start by stating that I in no form or fashion support prostitution. However, the actions of the Chattanooga Police Department stun me. The story indicates that after a two-day adventure the police were able to arrest five people involved in running a prostitution ring here in our fair city.
Evidently, the criminal masterminds were running a phone-based escort service. I am assuming this criminal enterprise did not spring up overnight.
I am assuming that these criminals probably had been in operation for awhile. I draw this conclusion from the fact that the officers used the phone book to locate the aforementioned crime lords. It takes a bit of time to be included in the phone book.
I mean you have to have your business set up, you have to have a stable phone number, and you have to call the phone book people and say please put my number in your fine book. So, I am assuming these criminals had been doing this for awhile.
Again, I am assuming this because the criminal activities of these scoundrels never impacted my life in the least. For all I know, they have been doing this for years and years without my knowledge. Now, the thing that stuns me is that the Chattanooga Police Department went to the time to get a motel room, staff the room with police officers, commit other resources needed to insure a successful operation and, over a two-day period, five people were arrested.
