I absolutely love being a part of surprise proposals! When Stephen reached out to me to help coordinate his surprise proposal in Flagstaff, Arizona, I was all in! Stephen wanted to plan the surprise proposal during peak fall foliage in Flagstaff for all of the golden aspen leaves. Because Stephen and Madi are avid hikers, planning a surprise proposal at Snowbowl Flagstaff Arizona was a no-brainer.
Because Stephen and Madi have always been a pretty outdoorsy and adventurous couple and Madi absolutely loves visiting the fall foliage, Stephen was confident that Madi would have no idea ā and he was right!! To avoid the crowds, Stephen had the idea to go on a sunrise hike with Madi!
While it was freezing, it was well worth it for the privacy and intimate moment that they got to share with each other. Stephen set up a little blanket and tripod to take photos of each other during their hike while I was hiding in the trees pretending that I was a nearby hiker taking photos of the fall foliage.
I can confirm, Madi was completely surprised! Every one of them is such an amazing memory and keepsake and we are so glad we have them to look back on. She made posing easy and fun , and it translated beautifully into the images she captured. We are seriously so thankful for her capturing a special morning we will never forget, and these photos bring us right back to that moment!
