About Us. Our Dogs. Our Team. Contact Us. Rescue Links. Finally Home. Rainbow Bridge. Our Adopted Dogs. We call Titus "Tiger" now because our daughter started calling him that, and it seems similar enough that he answers to it. And that ended up being what the trainer brought up also. Who knows? But besides playing with balls and toys for the most part, he likes finding a lap to snuggle on.
He also loves sleeping in the big bed. We lost our sweet Abigail this afternoon. We fostered her from the beginning and adopted her immediately. While she was only with us briefly less than a year , she was an amazing and strong girl. Pinkie, who ended up weighing 30 pounds obviously not a Dachshund!
Huge thanks to Three Little Pitties for helping us get this sweet girl adopted. Welcome Gus to the Coleman Clan! Gus is a year-old, 10 pound piebald, Dachshund whose owner unfortunately had dementia and had to go live in a memory care home.
Gus was living in an empty house for 2 months and someone would stop by a few times a week to leave food. A friend of the gentlemen heard about this travesty and took Gus in. She got him neutered and, since he had some bad teeth and gums, got his teeth cleaned, and she brought him up to date with his vaccines.
Amazingly, he is heart worm negative! Gus was about an hour away from me so I said I would foster. I'm now a "foster fail". He is learning the routine at my house, learning his place in my pack. He's in good health for a year-old, and even though he has heart murmur, his blood work is good. He's a bit deaf and blind, but all to be expected at his age. I will be your forever home now so no worries, Gus. Teddy was a little shy when we got home but he's found his place in the bed and loves to lay next to my heater with me while I work.
