As GPS requires clear line-of-sight for accurate services of 37 positioning and localization applications, we designed a Time of Arrival ToA based algo rithm for areas where strong GPS signals are unavailable.
Collision avoidance using auto matic braking and camera-based surveillance are a few other applications that we 40 addressed. We designed a mobile app interface for the on-board unit for 44 smart, efficient and remote traffic monitoring. This paper presents the state-of-theart survey of vehicular cloud computing.
Moreover, we present a taxonomy for vehicular cloud in which special attention has been devoted to the extensive applications, cloud formations, key management, inter cloud communication systems, and broad aspects of privacy and security issues. Through an extensive review of the literature, we design an architecture for VCC, itemize the properties required in vehicular cloud that support this model.
