Columbia finished its season with an overall record of Hose recorded his first career complete game shutout by retiring 17 batters in-a-row between the fourth and ninth innings. He nearly retired the final 18 batters of the game in order before issuing his only walk with two outs in the ninth. Hose struck out seven and allowed just two runners past second base.

Senior Harrison Eldridge , who became the school's all-time leader in games played , singled to left field on the games first pitch and rounded the bases on Ray's sixth homer of the year.
Corey Kemp's 17th home run of the season extended the Pirates lead to in the third inning as he launched a three-run shot over the left field wall. Drew Schieber singled down the left field line to start then frame then took second on Eldridge's sac bunt. Brandon Henderson lead off the inning with an infield single which was followed by a Roller single to left field.
After a failed pickoff moved the runners up feet, Harrington picked up his 12th multi-RBI game of the season with his base knock. Henderson drove the Pirates ninth run of the game with a double to left-center that scored Ray from second pushing the lead to Ray walked to lead off the frame then stole his second base of the afternoon on Kemp's at-bat moving into scoring position.
Harrison Eldridge became ECU's all-time leader in games played with his start in center field against Columbia. He has played in career games with starts. He moved into second place on ECU's all-time at-bats list in the first inning when he singled to left field. He has career hits which ranks third all-time. Eldridge laid down a pair of sac bunts and moved into second place on the schools all-time sacrifice chart with He was 2-for-3 on the afternoon and picked up his school record 81st career multi-hit game.
