Spa culture in the Czech lands and central Europe can be traced back to medieval and perhaps even Roman times when health-seekers visited natural springs in search of cures for a number of ailments. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Czech spa industry has seen a significant slowdown in recent months.
In light of the pandemic, spas and hotels, as well as the Czech government which hopes to give the struggling industry a helping hand, are encouraging domestic visits to spas with steep discounts, package deals, and more.

Starting July 1, Czechs over the age of 18 years old will be able to apply for vouchers for spa visits in the Czech Republic.
If you spend at least six nights in a spa facility and get at least five procedures done, you will be eligible for a 4, CZK voucher. The vouchers are meant to boost the local spa community, which has been deeply impacted by the loss of foreign tourists. Vouchers can be used until the end of the year.
