The expansion consists of a third linear accelerator, a new HDR High Dose Rate Brachytherapy suite, new exam rooms, expanded massage therapy room, large conference room for education and support groups, a special procedure room, two family counseling rooms, and expanded patient registration space.
And, with cancer cases on the rise, Steinwand feels now is the time to make much-needed improvements at the Bismarck Cancer Center. This expansion will allow more patients to be served and continue with state-of-the-art technology without having to travel long distances and be away from family and friends. Cancer has affected many of their family and friends over the years and they wanted to give back to this important community cancer expansion. The Itens feels the expansion will allow the Bismarck Cancer Center to continue to provide the best cancer treatment possible in our area.
Without the support of the Bismarck community, we would not be in the position to make this donation. One of the new patient examination rooms will proudly be named after Brady Martz and Associates, whose core values have always consisted of a strong commitment to community. Weisbeck says Starion feels the work that the Bismarck Cancer Center does for the community is changing and impacting lives on a daily basis.
This ultimately saves more lives, providing more hope, and impacting our community even further than the Center already has. The donation follows a significant fundraising year for the campaign to expand the first floor and add a second floor to the Bismarck Cancer Center.
These changes will include new exam rooms, an expanded conference room for education and support groups, two family counseling rooms, and will add medical equipment, including a third linear accelerator treatment machine , and a second CT scanner for additional specialized treatment.
