Now Rubmaps. Rubmaps has ratings, prices and addresses. And reviewers can anonymously list the rub provider's ethnicity, hair color, hair length and even breast size. Other details include whether the provider has tattoos and whether kissing is OK.
But what attracts patrons who are seeking sexual gratification at massage parlors is the explicit list of sexual favors the provider may offer. In the last year, San Antonio police have made arrests for prostitution at at least two massage parlors.
The KSAT 12 Defenders visited both locations to find out what operators thought of the website and whether they did indeed provide sexual favors for a price. One location was closed and a woman who came to the window inside the other massage parlor ducked out of sight quickly and seemed confused when asked if this was a legitimate massage parlor. Police would not say how police investigate massage parlors, but say they keep up with the trends. While not being cited for prostitution, a number of San Antonio massage parlors were cited by the vice squad for ordinance violations.
