Because most people either have a child, or have been a child or are a child. And I think the fact that I made the film in a realistic way is what ultimately gets to people.
So I think that the fact the story is portrayed realistically is what disturbs people about the events in it. It was a very productive and exciting period to work with William Peter Blatty on his great creation.
