The Country Office promotes effective use of strategic information to better understand and track the epidemic and its trends, and to measure progress and sustainable impact of the response in the Country. It supports efforts to strengthen the capacities of communities and their meaningful engagement in health, social protection, and human rights mechanisms, and provides intellectual support and technical guidance as necessary to national partners and policymakers.
Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position: Under the supervision of the Associate Office Administration, the Driver Clerk has the following key responsibilities: 1-Driving and transportation services a-Drives official vehicles and provides transport services for UNAIDS staff, including consultants, officials and visitors b-Meets staff and visitors at the airport and assists them with basic visa and customs formalities when required.
Ensures the delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items. Provides the proper day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle, including routine repairs. Arranges for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, water levels and similar. Education: Essential: Completion of a secondary school, or relevant technical or vocational training. Desirable: Training or demonstrated knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Clerical or general administrative training. Experience: Essential: A minimum of two years of experience as a driver of officials in an international institution, governmental organization, embassy or the UN system with an excellent knowledge of the local traffic rules, regulations and geography.
