A year-old Massachusetts sex offender is charged with enticement, accused of approaching young girls who were waiting at a school bus stop Wednesday morning, police said.
Haverhill police say John Perrault was driving his wife's car when he approached the girls who were waiting at the bus stop at the corner of Brookline Avenue and Main Street, asking them to get into the vehicle. According to police, a witness observed the man's behavior and intervened, urging the person to leave the scene. Police said area schools were notified and police began a search for the man, later identified as Perrault. He was charged with enticement and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.
Perrault is a Level 2 sex offender and has multiple open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior convictions, according to the state's Sex Offender Registry Board website.
