Cases tied to a sibling-run illicit massage parlor ring that reached across Southern California, including Oxnard and Port Hueneme, are coming to an end in Ventura County Superior Court.
The crimes involve pimping, conspiracy to commit money laundering and accessory in connection to an illicit massage business ring.
Six people have been sentenced, one will be sentenced Aug. Olga Paredes, who pleaded guilty to four counts of felony pimping, was sentenced July 21 by Judge Bruce Young and received the harshest sentence of four years in state prison. The investigation turned up six brothels that Parades and her associates oversaw disguised as legitimate businesses.
Detectives identified several adult victims of sexual exploitation, including some who were brought from Tijuana to Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Paredes' nephew Jaime Vasquez, of Colton, pleaded guilty to three counts of felony conspiracy to commit money laundering and received a sentence of six months in the Ventura County jail and two years formal probation. Olga Marlene Ramirez, of Colton, pleaded guilt to a felony count of accessory after the fact and was sentenced to a custody sanction and two years of formal probation.
Hector Ramos Prado, of Ontario; Bruce Eulises Pineda, of San Diego; Ismael Zitlahua Reyes, of Ontario, the managers of the brothels, pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy to commit pimping and were each sentenced to a custody sanction and two years formal probation.
