There are minimum experience requirements for each position in addition to logistical requirements such as the ability to obtain a passport, pass a background and medical check, and obtain proper visas. In addition, at the beginning of a career with Disney Cruise Line, all new crew members and officers receive in-depth onboarding and training so they are set up for success to connect with The Walt Disney Company, feel comfortable in their position, and engage with guests and crew members. Each crew member, regardless of role, will have safety responsibilities onboard and attend in-depth training across all areas of the ship to ensure a safe and secure environment. Contract lengths are based on position and operational need and vary from 3 to 8 months.
