Their more famous nickname is "blowjob bars" Objectively speaking, Pink Salons are the best bang for your dollar. You walk in, sit down, a girl sits next to you and starts blowing you for the next thirty minutes. All for this for about 5,YEN. Sounds great, right? The number of foreigner friendly Pink Salons is limited and the quality is low.
The majority of the women who work in these businesses are in their late thirties and forties and aren't very attractive. Let's just say that after I've visited a few of them, I haven't been eager to return. Until now. About once or twice a month I visit my favorite onsen in Sugamo.

Without skipping a beat I asked her if foreigners were OK. She asked me if I could speak Japanese. I answered yes and she said foreigners were fine. She was surprisingly friendly. In Japanese, she asked me where I was from and if I lived in Japan.
I was surprised by her congenial demeanor. Normally, when I walk into red light businesses I am confronted by a stone faced manager. This was not the case at Happy. After our small talk, I asked her if the girls were young. She assured me that they were. I also asked her if nominations were possible. Deciding to risk it, I paid her 6,YEN for 30 minutes not knowing what the girl would look like. She asked me if I needed to use the bathroom.
