Joshua Jon Temple, 41, is anticipated to plead guilty to Class B felony endangering an eligible adult and Class C felony terrorizing.
If a proposed plea agreement is accepted by Judge Kristi Venhuizen, his Class C felony and Class A misdemeanor domestic violence charges will be dismissed. Whitney Temple said her husband, Joshua Temple, had visited her in the hospital the previous night and was physical with her.
She said the physical domestic violence in their relationship dated back to Whitney Temple had been in the hospital since early morning April 3 due to both her deteriorating health and safety concerns, the affidavit said.
She told medical staff her husband had been physically and verbally abusive, and deprived her of medical services. Doctors provided a letter to law enforcement that read, "There is no doubt in my mind that if she were to return to his care she likely would not survive another abuse.
Her medical conditions put her at even a greater increased risk of death. It is imperative that she get provided the protection she needs so she can get the appropriate medical care she needs. Police observed injuries on Whitney Temple that included one black eye and one bruised, a bruised hand print on the side of her face, and bruising to her ear, arms, legs and back.
