A chilling documentary reveals the horrifying way Richard Spencer's abusive wife, Sheree Spencer, was finally exposed after 20 years of physical attacks, threats and financial control. During their marriage, Sheree, aged 46, subjected Richard, aged 47, to increasing levels of violence, starting with 'pushing, shoving and slapping'.
Over time, things got worse, with Sheree spitting on Richard, locking him out of the house, and even stabbing him with forks. On one occasion, she hit him with a wine bottle so hard that it permanently disfigured one of his ears. And during another horrific act she even defecated on his face - and ordered him to tidy it up. Viewers were left in disbelief after hearing about the incident and saying the 'poor, poor man'.
In a cunning attempt to prevent the father-of-three from seeking help, Sheree repeatedly threatened to tell the police that he was the one abusing her.
She even screamed for help in their seven-bedroom home near York, hoping neighbours would support any lies she told. However, what Sheree didn't count on was that Richard had a good friend looking out for him, reports the Mirror. The Channel 5 documentary, My Wife My Abuser, shows the shocking way Sheree concealed her appalling abuse for two decades. The couple, who first met in a club in , had bought a nanny cam following the birth of their eldest daughter in Sheree's husband Richard, who would hide his injuries with make-up, had started secretly recording the abuse.
He was worried he might need it as 'insurance' if she tried to stop him from seeing their kids. She said her husband was drunk and she was scared of what he might do. Richard's friend quickly came over to their house. When he and Richard were alone, he asked Richard about his bruise.
