Keith peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on January 29, , at the University of Virginia Hospital. Keith was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandmother, Queen Watkins; his father, Edmond Sheffield Sr; his sister, Ingrid Dandridge; his cherished great-aunt and great-uncle, Isabelle and Clarence Rucker; and his cousin, Charles Rucker.
Keith also leaves behind a dedicated friend and confidant, Paul Hayes Pokelo. Keith Sheffield was the epitome of an entrepreneur. He was known for having multiple irons in the fire, earning the reputation of "the ultimate hustler. A passionate foodie, Keith appreciated all types of cuisine and deeply loved cooking. He was known for his kitchen skills and could "burn" with the best of them. Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Keith also dedicated part of his life to law enforcement in Washington, D.
His infectious humor and signature nicknames for everyone he met made him unforgettable. He had a gift for bringing laughter to any room and never met a stranger. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he carried it with him in all that he did. Keith Sheffield's legacy of hard work, humor, and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. His absence will be profoundly felt, but his memory will always be treasured.
