Jyesha Johnson. In the latest development in the Klein ISD sex trafficking case, civil rights attorneys representing a new victim, identified as Jane Doe, have announced plans to file a federal civil rights lawsuit. The case centers on allegations against Kedria Grisby , a cosmetology teacher at Klein Cain High School , accused of compelling prostitution of a minor and child sex trafficking.
They said new information has emerged, highlighting the role of a phone containing evidence of transactions and communications related to the trafficking activities. The attorneys emphasized the importance of this evidence in holding those involved accountable.
The attorneys also revealed that one of the victims was forced to sleep with five to 10 men a night in exchange for money. They allege that Grisby and her son targeted students who were homeless or runaways. Jane Doe reportedly came to school covered in bruises, and although a teacher noticed, she never received help. Sellers said that these messages are linked to more than clients, none of whom have been charged yet. The legal team is calling for community support and urging any additional victims to come forward.
They plan to distribute flyers and utilize social media to reach potential victims who may still be suffering in silence.
Sellers mentioned that the victim he represents is doing better now that she is safe and has plans to go to college. They are filing lawsuits against Klein High School , asserting that the district dropped the ball in protecting students. The legal team is also investigating other institutions they believe should be held accountable. The case first captured public attention and led to widespread outrage in April when Kedria Grisby was arrested. She faces charges of compelling prostitution of a minor and child sex trafficking.
