As taxpayers are asked to invest in a plan that will shape the future of Sandy Springs, we should have the opportunity to learn about the alternatives and to have our voices heard. The Task Force was dominated by developers who wrote the current plan and stand to profit from it. The members of the Task Force who stand to profit from tearing down existing apartments and rebuilding lower-density, less affordable housing have put forward a plan that will use our money to benefit them.
