Jeddah is located in the West province which is also known as the province of Mecca. Jeddah is the largest city in this province, is the largest port on the Red Sea and one of the largest ports of the country. According to several sources the tomb of Eve can be found in Jeddah. However, we will probably never know for sure because the tomb was sealed with concrete in the s to prevent worship. Because Jeddah is situated on the route to Mecca and Medina millions of people make a stop-over here every year to travel further to one of these sacred cities.
The city has something with heights, the largest fountain in the world, the fountain of King Fadh can be found here. This fountain can squirt water up to meters.
